Congressman Eric Massa tours NY-29 in very busy district work week

 

Rep. Massa returns to the district to hold townhall meetings, conduct business tours, and visit Editorial Boards during packed week

 

CORNING, NY- Congressman Eric Massa began his jam-packed district work week by holding an Agriculture Summit in Alfred Station, followed by a Town Hall Meeting in Alfred on Saturday. Congressman Massa has and will continue to tour the 29th Congressional District and hold townhall meetings, business tours, editorial board visits and more. Below is a schedule of this week:

 

Monday, February 16th:

 

Congressman Massa stopped in Hornell, where he toured Alstom Corporation with Hornell Mayor Shawn Hogan. Afterward, Congressman Massa headed north for an editorial board meeting with the Rochester Democrat and Chronicle. Following that meeting, Congressman Massa held office hours at his Pittsford headquarters from 4-6 pm. The Pittsford office is located at 1 Grove Street, Suite 101, Pittsford, NY 14534.

 

Tuesday, February 17th:

 

Congressman Massa toured Hydroacoustics and Integrated Nanotechnology in Henrietta, the Greater Rochester International Airport, and the Monroe County Water Authority.

 

At 10:15, Congressman Massa held a press conference at Hydroacoustics where he discussed the job creating measures from the recently passed Stimulus package.

 

Wednesday, February 18th:

 

On Wednesday, Rep. Massa will visit with the Editorial Boards of the Corning Leader, and the Hornell Evening Tribune. Also from 1:30 - 2:15pm, Congressman Massa will tour the Veterans Fair at the Bath American Legion.

 

Thursday, February 19th:

 

Thursday morning kicks off with a press conference in Elmira to discuss the impact of stimulus funding for our local schools. The details of this press conference will be released shortly.

 

Following the press conference, Rep. Massa will meet with the Elmira Star-Gazette Editorial Board. Then from 1:00 - 3:00 pm, Congressman Massa will hold office hours in your Pittsford Congressional office (1 Grove St, Suite 101, Pittsford, NY 14534) followed by a meeting with the Messenger Post Editorial Board in Canandaigua.   In the evening, Rep. Massa will meet with the Ontario County Board of Supervisors and Administrators to hear their needs and concerns. 

 

Congressman Massa will conclude the evening with an open and public Town Hall meeting in Canandaigua from 7:30-9:00 pm. This event will take place at the Canandaigua City Hall at 2 North Main Street, Canandaigua, New York 14424.

 

Saturday, February 21st:

 

On Saturday morning, Congressman Massa will start the day by visiting the Bath VA to meet with veterans and learn about the needs and challenges facing the facility.

 

Later in the day, he will visit Penn Yan. First Congressman Massa hold an economic summit with a number of prominent area business and community leaders.

 

After this event, he will host an open and public townhall meeting in Penn Yan at Milly's Pantry (19 Main Street, Penn Yan, NY 14527). The townhall meeting will run from 3:30 - 5:30 pm.
