The Corning Leader reports that the Steuben County Sheriff's race will be the subject of a court hearing today. The initial election count was 2,952-2,794 for David Cole. The current count is 3,089-3,011 for Joel Ordway.

This is going to be one to watch. And some blogs report, but just that, that the Democrat party may get behind someone in November: Either a write-in (so tough to do) or, more likely, endorsing Dave Cole--who seems to have won the Conservative line last Tuesday.
