More Endorsements

Reader Elmer noticed that Eric Massa was endorsed by American Hunters and Shooters.

The Star-Gazette also reports that Randy Kuhl was endorsed by Monroe County Town Supervisors, who are all Republicans.

American Hunters and Shooters is a gun control organization created by the Brady Campaign with a name meant to confuse voters. Although it probably doesn't matter as anyone who votes based on gun ownership knows that the NRA endorsed Randy (they've been mailing the hell out of the district, apparently).

I saw a billboard in Rochester from the NRA. Not sure Rochester is NRA country but they have a presence.

From what I've heard from Massa, I have no idea why he'd be given a grade of C from the NRA:

It is apparently based on some statements he's made. He seems to support the NRA agenda from what I can tell.

When do you think THE REAL important endorsements will be made (the final ones, that is): "The Leader" and "Star-Gazette"?

I can't imagine it would be later than this Sunday, but I don't have any inside info on exactly when it will happen.

I don't think the S-G endorsement is that important, even if they switch to Massa. If the Leader switches to Massa, it's a big deal. (If they both go with Kuhl, it's no change, and thus not important.)

Corning is Massa's "adopted" home town... if he doesn't get the Leader, then it's a sure sign that he hasn't been accepted as the home town boy, even after running for congress for four years.

It's a Republican paper.

With all due respect, Erik, you don't add much to the conversation here. Maybe take it to Red State?
