In my little corner of NY, a very rural corner, I have no clue whether the Confederate flag is racist or not. What I can tell you is that if someone came up to me and offered me a million dollars to take them somewhere that a confederate flag is flying I would have no idea where to take them. I have not seen a flag flying down here for years,
The guy with the hanging coon obviously has some mental problems and I'm not sure I would want to be the guy who went to his place and asked him to take it down.

I haven't seen it either, but I *have* seen it, not in the Tier but in Central New York. I know whereof I speak on this one.

I'm certainly not trying to say that people in the Tier are racist or anything like that, in any case.
I see the occasional stars and bars on a pickup, but I've never seen the stars and bars flying. But I'm not a native like you two.
I agree that this is the front lawn of someone I never want to meet, who's probably a major head case..
I've mostly seen it on pick-ups. I've only seen it flying a very small number of times.
If this mattered at all, the Secret Service will show up on his lawn.
