The Special Happens in November

Sean Carroll just sent the text of the court ruling saying that Governor Paterson was within his rights to hold the special on November 2. I assume there will be appeals, but it's a setback for Republicans in general and Tom Reed in particular.

Thanks, as always, for the speedy update, Rottenchester. What would those of us down in "the sticks"--er, "the vineyards"--do without you?

This is very interesting. I read the case and the logic follows, but seems pointless to wait until November. So it goes in the wonderful world of politics.

Definitely relevant. I suspect that "the occasion" was Governor Patterson had at least that many when he determined that NY-29 didn't deserve representation for almost half of an entire term.

um, you're replying to an obvious spammer. Note there is another lame joke reply from this person on the previous posting.
