Corning Leader Column Supports Massa

Reader Elmer sends "The Insider" column from today's Corning Leader [pdf]. Bob Rolfe, the retired Leader editor who writes the twice-weekly column, says he'll vote for Massa mainly because of his position on the war in Iraq.

Old news. This aging hippie came out last year for Massa too, for the same reason. Ran a dozen columns saying the same thing, over and over again, to no avail. He hates Randy Kuhl and apparently has his lips permanently attached to Massa's butt.

What's wrong, Eric? Is the heat down in DC making you crabby? At least the "aging hippie" gave some reasons why he supports Massa - all you did was call names, as usual.

This is wrong. Bob Rolfe is a native of Bath, started out editing the weekly newspaper there, and then went on to Corning for 20 years or so. He has a following. Years ago, the editor of the Corning paper was the GOP State Committeeman, no less, from Steuben. You never would have imagined ANY deviation from the Republican line. It is still unique to see this.

Having worked with Bob on and off for the past 29 years, let me tell you at this stage in his life he is as democratic as anyone can be
